Contexte
The AI for Social Science Research Methods Conference 2027 will take place on April 28–29, 2027, at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut, United States. The two-day academic conference will bring together scholars and researchers exploring how artificial intelligence (AI) can improve, transform, and challenge social science research methods.
The event will feature research presentations, poster sessions, and academic discussions focused on methodological innovation at the intersection of AI and social science. It will provide an opportunity for researchers from different disciplines to exchange ideas, present emerging findings, and examine the opportunities and limitations of AI-enabled research.
The conference is co-hosted by three Yale-affiliated research centres: Data-Intensive Social Science Center (DISSC), Institution for Social and Policy Studies (ISPS), and Center for Algorithms, Data, and Market Design (CADMY).
Artificial intelligence is increasingly being integrated into research design, data collection, measurement, analysis, and academic workflows. Although these developments create new possibilities for researchers, they also raise important methodological questions about the quality, accuracy, and interpretation of AI-generated information. The conference aims to address these challenges by bringing together researchers developing methods for the responsible and effective use of AI in social science.
