Contexte
The Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) advertised 89 vacancies across 14 positions, ranging from senior lecturers to drivers and office assistants. Applications closed on Wednesday, 30th September 2026, but the advert is still worth reading closely. KMTC recruits often, and knowing how it hires will help you prepare for the next round.
About KMTC: KMTC is a State Corporation established by an Act of Parliament and falls under the Ministry of Health. Founded in 1927, it trains professionals across many disciplines in the health sector and also carries out research and consultancy. It is an ISO 9001:2015 certified institution, with certification by the Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS). The KMTC Board of Directors said it was looking for “competent, result-oriented, knowledgeable, dynamic, visionary and experienced” people. The posts are tenable at the College Headquarters and its campuses.
The Vacancies at a Glance: Senior Lecturer, Pharmacy (KMTC/QP-12/EAF/09/2026, KMTC 6); Lecturer II, Mortuary Science (Re-advertisement) (KMTC/QP-12/EAF/10/2026, KMTC 8); Assistant Director, Information Communication Technology (KMTC/QP-12/EAF/11/2026, KMTC 4); Accountant II / Finance Officer II (KMTC/QP-12/EAF/12/2026); Human Resource Management Officer II (KMTC/QP-12/EAF/13/2026); Library Assistant III (KMTC/QP-12/EAF/14/2026, KMTC 9); Supply Chain Management Assistant III (KMTC/QP-12/EAF/15/2026); Assistant Office Administrator III (KMTC/QP-12/EAF/16/2026); Information Communication Technology Assistant III (KMTC/QP-12/EAF/17/2026); Clerical Officer II (KMTC/QP-12/EAF/18/2026, KMTC 11); Security Warden III (KMTC/QP-12/EAF/19/2026, KMTC 12); Artisan III (KMTC/QP-12/EAF/20/2026); Driver III (KMTC/QP-12/EAF/21/2026); Office Assistant III (KMTC/QP-12/EAF/22/2026, KMTC 13).
Two details stand out. The Lecturer II, Mortuary Science post is a re-advertisement, so it was advertised before. The job grades also run from KMTC 4 (the most senior, Assistant Director ICT) to KMTC 13, so there were openings for degree holders, diploma and certificate holders, and support staff.
